Today I worked at Child's Day Out in the morning. I helped out in the 2 year olds class. I was a floater between two classes. I was in Veronica's class first. She had five girls and one boy. Those girls were too cute. One, Isabella, would not leave me alone. She wanted to sit in my lap. Then she wanted to read a book with me. It was so cute. Then I helped in Joanna's class. She had five girls and one boy as well. They were completely different from Veronica's class. They were a whole lot less sociable. One little girl was a complete rebel. She wouldn't eat her lunch. She wouldn't do anything that you wanted her to. Anyways, my gross story came into play right after lunch. Only one of the girls in Veronica's class is potty trained. I took her to the bathroom and then when I got her off the potty (notice I speak in little kids language here) there was poop EVERYWHERE! On the toilet, on the floor, in her panties. It was disgusting! Thankfully, it wasn't runny so I just picked it up with toilet paper. Then later on, the same girl had to go to the bathroom and I took her and she had wet her pants. It was crazy! Anyways, tonight I'm going to be a surprise visitor at Bible Study. I haven't been in a few years for various reasons, but I told Mary, Charles and Carrie I would go. Normally, Carrie and I have been having our Beth Moore study on tuesday nights, but we decided to go to the other one tonight instead.

I'm Psychic
Wow! Two posts in one day! I'm on a roll! So my sister told me to guess what she won on the radio. Since I'm a psychic, I guessed it right. I said you won tickets to see Rascal Flatts in concert. She was like you're good. She said it scared her. What can I say? I'm gifted like that. Go me! Anyways, one of my favorite tv shows is Psych on USA. If you don't watch it, you should. You don't know what you are missing out on.

Crazy
I must be crazy (or desperate) because I just applied for a job at an engineering\construction firm. It's a much larger firm than the one I used to work at though so I would probably have a lot more job security. Anyways, that's all I wanted to share. Maybe more later when more of the day has passed.

A Modgepodge of things
Carrie kindly pointed out to me that I haven't blogged in awhile. Mostly that's because I have nothing to say. My life has been pretty boring. Last week it consisted of getting up, looking for a job, and going to bed (pretty much). Each day had a little variety but overall, it was pretty much the same. Can I say I HATE looking for a job? It is the most boring thing in the world. Seriously! Also, Gobstopper Heartbreakers are the best! Just thought I'd throw that in there as well. I know that you will all want to go by some ASAP since they are only out for Valentine's Day (the WORST holiday EVER!). I'm reading a great book, Facing Your Giants by Max Lucado. I really like it so far. I've read about 3 chapters. After that, I have a book called The Firstborn Advantage to read. It looked really interesting. In my Bible reading, I'm on Jacob now. I should make a family tree to see how they are all related. Maybe I'll do that later. I have a lot of free time on my hands right now. I'm thinking about calling up the Crisis Pregnancy Center to volunteer. I've been saying that for over a year now and I should do it, but I always come up with these what ifs? Let's see. I scrapbooked with Michelle last week. I got some stuff done. On Saturday, Carrie began being tourists in our own town. It was a TON of walking. We went to the Audobon Center at the Francis Biedler Forest in the morning. It was a nice peaceful walk. We learned a lot about Swamps and stuff and saw a few animals. The woodpecker, Carolina Wren, White-tailed Deer and Grey Squirrel. Then in the afternoon, we went to the Yorktown. That was a TON of walking. So many stairways. We saw this huge mixer. It was pretty cool. I could make a ton of cookies if I had one of those. We didn't go anywhere today because Carrie had a work emergency. We did go to lunch at Chili's where Carrie, Mary and Charles grilled me about what type of guy I am looking for. They want to set me up. I'm interested to see how this will all turn out. The last blind date I went on (well, the only one I went on) wasn't the best experience. Plus, it wasn't really blind because I had met the guy before and he knew a ton of stuff about me but I knew nothing about him. Anyways, I'm interested to see what this week brings. Should be interesting. I shall leave you with a few pictures from my touristy events this weekend.

In A Rich Man's World..
The title of my blog has nothing to do with what my blog is about, it's just stuck in my head. I keep hearing it over and over and over again. Anyways, I found and bought a Wii Fit for Carrie today. Yay for Gamestop! Maybe someday I can own one. Until that day comes, I will just use everyone else's. I'm also going to work on figuring out how long the people in the Bible lived. I really want to know who of each person's descendants was alive while they were alive. For example, I want to know who was the youngest of Adam's descendants alive while he was alive. I know, I'm weird, but still. I want to know. The genealogy has to be useful for something and I'm going to make it useful. So far I'm doing so good on my new Bible. I've read through Noah. I haven't read today's portion yet. We shall see what it is on. I'm still continuing my job search. Hopefully I will find something soon.

Movies and some other stuff
I realized that so far this year I have watched a movie I haven't seen before every day. Granted that's only three days but still. On the 1st, I watched Prince Caspian. I was highly disappointed. It was nothing like the book. They added and changed things. On the 2nd, I watched Mamma Mia with Michelle. It was ok. Not the greatest movie, but not the worst. Today I watched Iron Man with Krista and Jason. I wonder what I will watch tomorrow.... Anyways, an update on that job. Jason's dad is a Dean at CSU and he is actually the Dean of the dept of that job. He mentioned to him that I was interested and so he talked with me for a few minutes about it. I sent in an application when I got home today about it. We shall see how it all turns out I guess. I bought a Chronological Bible to read the Bible in a year. So far, I like it. I've already seen passages that I didn't know were there. I'm going to try and read a different bible every year. I was going to read the Archaelogical Bible but it was $50 and that's a lot for an unemployed person.

A Blah Day
As you know, I went on the middle school retreat for the past two days. All the girls that came were in seventh grade. I had three in my room. They all slept in one bed together. I told them I don't care where you sleep, but I'm sleeping in a bed. I guess they felt weird sharing a bed with me since they didn't really know me so they all crammed into one bed. That was fine with me. They were really good girls, a little loud at times, but good. Rich asked me about doing D-Now already and I told him I wasn't sure, but now I'm thinking about telling him I'll do it if I can have the seventh grade girls. The conference was really good. I think a lot of the kids were confused, because a lot of them went forward but they were already saved (or at least that's what they said). They thought they were rededicating their lives, but he said it was for those who wanted to be saved. Anyways, it was pretty uneventful. I was kind of disappointed that I didn't get to see the ball drop and that I didn't get to see any fireworks and I didn't get to toast with my sparkling grape juice. (I look forward to that). I didn't get to sing Auld Lang Syne but oh well. That's life, I guess. Today we went to the last conference and then drove back. That's about all that happened today. I came home and slept. Michelle invited me to come over for dinner, but when I called her she didn't answer, so I just stayed here. It was kind of a boring day. Not the way I would have pictured my new year starting but oh well. Anyways, I have a few things that I want to work on for myself. I would like to get into better shape. I'm kind of thinking about trying to read the whole Bible in a year in a different version. We shall see how that goes. I need to find a job (that's another one I'm hoping happens soon). I'm thinking about applying for the RLC (Resident Life Coordinator) position at CSU. The pay isn't what I was being paid at my previous job, but I wouldn't have to pay rent or utilities because I would live on campus. That's the downside. Living on campus. I'd have to deal with students around all the time. You can't have guys in your apt with just you there (at least that was the rule when I was there). Not that I EVER have guys over to begin with but still. What if I wanted to have a bunch of people over to hang out? Which probably would never happen anyways.
